Overview
Anthony's Painting and Remodeling ("we," "us," or "our") operates https://anthonyspaintingapp.com and the Anthony's Painting mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you:
- Visit our website or request an estimate
- Create or use a customer account in our mobile app
- Link a project using a claim code or matching contact information
- Schedule or receive updates about appointments and projects
- View private project photos, videos, messages, and documents
- Use Smart Measure or LiDAR estimating features
- Communicate with us by email, text message, or push notification
- Sign electronic approvals, including media consent
Your signed customer project agreement remains the controlling agreement for individual painting and remodeling jobs.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of information:
Contact information
Name, phone number, email address, and project address you provide when requesting an estimate, creating an account, or communicating with us.
Estimate and project information
Service details, scope notes, room or surface selections, materials preferences, timeline information, bids, proposals, change orders, and other project-related records.
Account and authentication information
Login email, account identifiers, authentication provider (such as email/password, Google, or Apple Sign-In), and profile details you choose to provide in the app.
Scheduling information
Appointment dates and times, reschedule requests, calendar availability, and related scheduling communications.
Project photos, videos, and documents
Job-site photos and videos, progress updates, agreements, signatures, invoices, and other documents related to your project.
Smart Measure and room-measurement data
Room geometry, measurements, surface information, scan metadata, and estimating data generated through Smart Measure or LiDAR-capable devices during on-site visits or in-app scanning workflows.
Device and technical information
Device type, operating system, app version, browser type, IP address, and similar technical data needed to operate and secure our services.
Communications and support requests
Messages, emails, texts, in-app communications, support inquiries, and account deletion requests.
Analytics and website usage information
Website traffic and performance data, including our own first-party analytics: a random anonymous identifier stored in a first-party cookie (apw_vid) and browser storage, the pages you view, interactions with project reels and galleries, and the marketing source that brought you here (such as UTM or campaign link parameters and the referring site). This identifier is not linked to your name or contact details unless you submit an estimate request, and it is never used for cross-site tracking or shared with advertisers. These tools do not give us access to your estimate form contents.
Media consent and electronic approval records
Your Showcase Our Work Permission selections, electronic signatures, consent timestamps, and related approval history stored in the app.
Mobile app accounts and job access
After you request an estimate, we may confirm your appointment by text message to the phone number you provided. That message may include your scheduled date and time, an optional link to download the Anthony's Painting app, and a short claim code.
To view your project in the app, create an account (or sign in) and enter your claim code on the Projects screen. The code links your account to your existing estimate or job — it does not create a duplicate project. Each claim code is intended for one client and one project; once linked, the same code cannot be used to attach a different account.
- SMS messages are sent for scheduling confirmation and project access — not for third-party marketing lists
- We may also link a job to your account when the contact information on your estimate matches your app profile
- App account data is used to run your private project feed, messages, signatures, and permission settings — not sold to advertisers
On-site project documentation
During active jobs, our team may capture photos and short videos inside your home to document prep, process, and finished work. This media supports your private project feed in the app, keeps you informed about progress, and helps us communicate scope clearly.
- Shots are intended to show surfaces, materials, and craftsmanship — close-up documentation of the work we performed
- We do not intentionally capture or publish personal items, people, mail, home addresses, license plates, or other identifying details; our crew is trained to keep media focused on the project area
- Job-site media is not public by default — it stays in your secure project account unless you separately approve broader use
Smart Measure and LiDAR scans
When we visit your home for a Smart Measure estimate, or when Smart Measure features are used in the app, we may use LiDAR-capable equipment and related device sensors to capture room geometry for measurement and scoping:
Smart Measure may use the device's camera, LiDAR sensor, and related device sensors in real time to identify room geometry, surfaces, openings, and measurements. Anthony's Painting and Remodelingdoes not save a conventional video or audio recording of the scan unless separate project photos or videos are intentionally captured with the customer's permission.
- The scan may generate measurements, room geometry, surface information, and project-estimating data
- LiDAR and measurement information is used for estimating, project planning, documentation, and improving estimate accuracy
- Scan and measurement data is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising purposes
How we use information
- Respond to estimate requests and schedule on-site visits
- Send appointment confirmations, claim codes, and project updates by text message, email, or push notification

- Document work progress and deliver private project updates
- Process payments and maintain business, warranty, and accounting records
- Honor media consent choices and manage portfolio permissions

- Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Service providers
We use trusted third-party providers to help operate our website and app. These providers process information only as needed to perform services on our behalf, such as:
- Firebase (Google) — cloud hosting, authentication, Realtime Database, Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions
- Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In — optional app authentication
- Stripe — payment processing for in-app project payments
- Expo / EAS — mobile app distribution and push notification delivery
- Vercel — website hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring
- Google Analytics 4 — optional, aggregate website usage measurement (only when configured; receives event names, page paths, and marketing source labels — never your estimate form contents)
- Google reCAPTCHA / Firebase App Check — optional abuse and spam prevention for website requests
- Google Maps Platform — directions links and review display within the mobile app
We require service providers to use information only to deliver the services we request and to protect it appropriately. Each provider may have its own privacy policy governing its services.
How information is stored
Estimate submissions, app account data, project records, and media are transmitted securely and stored in our business systems (including Firebase). Access is limited to authorized personnel who need it to operate the business, fulfill contracts, and support customers.
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) and our own first-party analytics to understand site traffic, which marketing efforts bring visitors to us, and how the site performs. Our first-party analytics stores a random anonymous identifier in a first-party cookie (apw_vid) and browser storage, groups activity into sessions of roughly 30 minutes, and records marketing attribution such as UTM/campaign link parameters and the referring site. It does not track you across other websites, and raw event data is retained for roughly 90 days.
When configured, we may also use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate usage measurement and Google reCAPTCHA with Firebase App Check to protect our services from spam and abuse. None of these tools give us access to your estimate form contents or private app project data.
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining project and warranty records, complying with legal and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting the security of our services.
Retention periods vary by record type, including:
- Unaccepted estimate requests — kept long enough to respond and follow up; may be removed when no longer needed
- Active project records — kept for the life of the project and related communications
- Completed project records — kept to document work performed, support warranty claims, and resolve questions
- Customer app accounts — kept until you delete your account or request deletion, subject to records we must retain
- Scheduling and communication records — kept as needed for appointments, project coordination, and business records
- Signed agreements — kept for the duration required by the contract and applicable law
- Media-consent records — kept to document permission granted or withdrawn
- Warranty records — kept for the warranty period and reasonable time thereafter
- Accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal records — kept as required by law, regulation, or legitimate business need
We may retain certain information even after an account deletion request when we are legally or operationally required to do so.
Marketing, portfolio, and your choices
Private project media is not automatically made public. Public portfolio or marketing use requires separate permission. We ask for your permission before using project photos or videos on our public website, social media, or other marketing. Only approved projects appear on https://anthonyspaintingapp.com — public project shorts and galleries reflect work we have permission to share, not your private in-app feed.
In the Anthony's Painting app, clients can sign and manage Showcase Our Work Permission from their active job (Job Tracker). You may choose Photos + Video, Photos Only, or No Media Use, sign electronically, and change or withdraw your permission at any time.
If you withdraw marketing permission, we will stop future marketing use of your project media and remove affected public content within a reasonable period when reasonably possible. Withdrawal does not affect private project documentation, legal records, or marketing use that occurred before your request was received.
Private account information — including contact details, addresses, messages, and payment information — is never exposed on this public website.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your app account by:
- Deleting your account from inside the mobile app (More → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account), when available
- Submitting a deletion request at https://anthonyspaintingapp.com/delete-account
- Contacting us at aanthonygavina@icloud.com or 806-420-1294
Account deletion is different from deleting optional profile data or removing all business records. Even after your account is deleted, we may retain information needed for contracts, payments, warranty obligations, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal requirements, as described in the Data Retention section above.
The online deletion form submits a request for review — it does not immediately delete your account, authentication credentials, or project records.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request:
- Access to personal information we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion of certain account or profile information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Withdrawal of media permission for future marketing use
- Information about how your data is used
To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
